HookMeUp is an event discovery and ticketing platform operated by Covalinx (covalinx.in). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we share it when you use hookmeup.in and related organizer or guest services.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

• Account & identity: name, phone number, email, password (hashed), organization / venue details for organizers.
• Bookings & payments: ticket selections, amounts, payment status, and payment gateway references. Card/UPI credentials are processed by our payment partner (Razorpay) — we do not store full card numbers or UPI PINs.
• Device & usage: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and basic diagnostics to keep the service secure and reliable.
• Communications: messages you send to support or refund addresses.

3. How we use information

• Provide ticketing, check-in, wallet/cover, and organizer dashboards.
• Process payments, refunds, settlements, and fraud prevention.
• Send transactional messages (booking confirmations, entry codes, important notices).
• Comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our Terms.
• Improve product performance and user experience.

4. Payment processing

Online payments are processed by Razorpay (or successors). When you pay, you also agree to Razorpay's terms and privacy practices. We receive confirmation of payment success/failure and limited identifiers needed for reconciliation — not your full payment instrument secrets.

5. Sharing

We share data only as needed: with the event organizer whose event you book (guest name/phone for entry), with payment processors, with infrastructure providers under contract, and when required by law. We do not sell personal data.

6. Retention

We retain booking and payment records as required for accounting, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. You may request correction or deletion of account data where applicable; some records must be kept for compliance.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures (HTTPS, access controls, hashed passwords). No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure; please protect your login credentials.

8. Your choices

• Update profile details from your account where available.
• Contact info@covalinx.in for access, correction, or deletion requests.
• Unsubscribe from non-essential marketing if you receive any.

9. Children

HookMeUp is not directed at children under 18. Age restrictions for individual events are set by organizers.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
